lighting problem X3 ///M

Hey guys iv picked up a problem on my car a couple of days after delivery I got the lighting warning light come on I checked all the globes all were burning. But the warning stayed on it then disappeared and didn't come on again . A day later same story but al the lights were on , now I figured I must have a bad conection or a bulb is going now today the left low beam didn't come on then I got a warning. And the indicator on the same light turned on . I then opened the headlight felt the back of the globe turned the lights back on and it was still the same I then turned the car of and started again and all was fine all light working again and no warnings on the dash. WTF? I read on another forum if the car reads that a globe is gone it turns. On the indicator light as a safety feature is this true ?

Yep, experienced this on one of my ex E39's a long while ago. I can't remember which bulb burned out, but the indicator light lit up until I replaced the bulb (when the lights were switched on). I would imagine a similar situation with some of the newer models, but not 100% sure.
