Light stays on.

I have an E39 540i. All of a sardine, the right high beam light stays on even if the light switch is off and even if the key is out the ignition.
Any ideas as to where I start looking for the problem?

yes it is, but cheaper to find replacement also harder to find replacement

quicker to fix at a specialist also much more expensive

sadly thats how its with most bmws out of plan and deemed expensive

Finding the parts to fix that LCM is a problem. It's usually easier just to find another one to put in there.
