License plate bulb holder

So before you think that I am dof - I'm NOT!!! :)

For the life of me, I can't get the bulb holders out to replace the standard with LED. It's supposed to be a case of pushing a flat head screwdriver into the slot and slide the holder to one side. I can't seem to get any movement on the clip. Even tried some lubricant in there which shouldn't be required but no go.

Any ideas other than a crow bar, 4lb hammer, drill or the likes?

The first time is really difficult to remove.
I removed the cover on the inside of the boot lid, stuck my hand in one of the slots and just pushed the light fitting to one side and then, Bobs your uncle.

After a few times of removing it this way, you should be able the just use a flat screw driver and push it to the side without removing the inside cover.

The LED globes that I used either start flickering or stop working all-together. Quite frustrating, and also get error messages.

Let me know if you pick up errors after the installation. Would like to have the LED bulbs put back

ok, so I used more force that I prefered to but the biaatch came out  from the outside as it should.

I then installed the first bulb, and hooray, no issues! Time for second and hey, WTF - where's the bulb. D00ses didn't put it in the bag so I needed to put the kaka looking old ones back until I get another one.

Nevertheless, thanks for the advice. I did strip the panel before but could'nt get a grip onto the holder and was scared to remove the bulb that I could barely touch cos I was afraid of not getting the replacement back in :)

Did you check for any errors after the first globe.

I need to get globes that do not give errors.
Help anyone?

They would cos they arent canbus bulbs. They admitted this to me when I was enquiring.

You just need to get a resister in line and then you're sorted.

I chose to go HID for the spots instead
