hmmm I like the way you think.... !!! I just don't want a weak "link" in the system... my aim is 0% distortion.. I think I might have to double, or triple my budget... eish!!

Is that even physically possible?
Have never heard of anything that that has 0% distortion or 0% noise or 0% interference, or a bit error rate of 0 for that matter.

so spoke to some friends and heard what their opinions are around brands and stuff that we familiar with:

If you want to go loud and clear use the following brands:

Rockford , JBL ,Alphine (Entry level), ground zero , pioneer(high end speakers -which is actually manufactured by pioneer anymore)..............................

for sound quality stuff (they can pound loud and hard also but play sweet music to) :

JL audio ,DLS ,Hertz ,Audison ,Helix ,Alphine (High end which also nt manufactured by themselves) , Morel ,Zapco..............even old school Rockford stuff was excellent but those days are long gone.

The following link will give you an idea for splits ,amp and subwoofers.

one can dream cant he... haha.. No it's just a metaphor.

Thanks MR D,

I had a look at pricing last night, and sound/pricing is not what I remembered from 10 years ago....

so Maybe I need to put some time into this and design 2 system's... A dream system as a reference, and then the real world scenario, that will stay in my budget... I am getting married next year so.... budget budget budget ...

Thanks For the link!!

Heres a pic of mini, its a 2003 Mini Cooper R50 my sound was just over 12 k in total, mainly because its labour intensive. It has 250watt Phillips 5.25" door speakers because nothing bigger would fit unless I modified the doors, Pioneer 640watt 6x9s in the rear, Pioneer 200watt super tweeters in the stock location (requires some mods) and the 2x1500 watt 12s in the back (no boot left) then a 3 channel 1000 calibra amp and a 3000watt calibra monoblack for the subs. I was a bit sad that I couldn't port the sub box because its small, in order to fit in to the boot. I would go single 10" or 12" in the boot rather than doubles its to heavy and definitely sound deading I didn't in the beginning and it killed everything from windscreen wipers to window motors with vibration its fine after sound deading though.

OK sound install for now is done... after a massive issue!!!..

What I ended up with to do the install was:
Infinity 475 amp, new Infinity 6x9's in the rear, and stock for now front speakers....... KFC 1000W Kenwood 10" low profile sub...

Oh and a Audio pipe line converter...... witch solved the problem....

did the full install over the weekend with all the kit and 2 stinger line converters, Sales guy said they were the best(at R350 a pop they #@*@& better be!!). Finished the install late Saturday afternoon. Nothing was playing right, the amp will go into protection the second you touch anything on the EQ on the amp. , went back to the sound shop on Monday, told them to fix it.... After 2 hours the installer cut both Stinger line converters out and installed a cheap Audio pipe line converter!!!... IT WAS LIKE HEAVEN OPENED UP and I could hear DEATH METAL being played by the angles!!!!..

Love the sub, it's in a small box and play's like you cannot believe!!!!. rest of the audio is just where I want it. The install was actualy reasonably easy!.. I was expecting a huge/massive issue, but it was actual quite easy. The biggest issue is to strip the entire rear end out!!!!...

Thanks for everyone's advice, and assistance!!!
