Guys dont knock me but i have used the same cheap product for over 25 years and my mum used it on our leather sofas for 10 years before that. Wynns Leather Care cream.
Every week without fail on my cars with leather, wipe down with a damp chamois, apply leather care cream with a sponge and then wipe off excess with a microfibre cloth.
Whenever i sold my cars or people see my old beemers they always comment on nice the leather is.
The 35 year old grafton everest lounge suit is still doing duty with a relative and and the leather still looks amazing.
When I was a kid, Wynn's was the 'expensive' product BTW. It has stood the test of time.
Good product for unfinished leather too.
Nothing wrong with using what you like/works for you. My favourite tyre product (despite having products that cost several times that amount) was the Rally tyre spray in the purple can and for rubber/plastic they had a UV protectant and conditioner in the orange little bottle. Both have long since been discontinued (I bought them whenever I had spotted them as they ran out the stock, but I haven't seen them in ages now).
These unfortunately sit in the awkward space of not being the cheapest crap (eg: the bulk silicone/shield products) but they are also lacking the 'premium consumer' vibe of Meguiars/Turtlewax/Sonax. Even then alot of people migrate to the boutique brands because Megs/Turtlewax etc have now actually become more expensive in some instances trading on their brand recognition and accessibility. No way is the Megs tyre thing worth more than Gyeon/Autoglym/Nasiol but the average guy has no idea what Gyeon is and he can't buy it at a Builder's or Makro. There is a Meguiars M888 ceramic coating for instance that costs more than a professional kit from any established ceramic brand...
Nothing wrong with Megs either BTW - there are many products still worth it and that I still use (eg: the Ultimate Compound, PlastX and DC Carnauba wax for certain things)
