Le Mans Blue E90 335i - What wheels?

Hey all,

Need to know which wheels and how?

Was keen on 19" CSL's in a dark grey / titanium. Would need to know what to buy and what the effects would be...

Some questions:
1) OEM vs. Reps? what gives?
2) How is ride affected?
3) What else would need to be done after fitment (balancing / alignment / spacers / suspension) if any...?
4) Offset, yes or no?
5) Does the wheel swap have impact on warrantee / motorplan?
6) ..and where to get them... :bangdesk:

If any of you have some answers it would be appreciated. I'm looking for some fuller arches...

Something similar to this:

Welcome. You have come to the right place.
My reply to the following questions:

2. Ride quality will be slighty harder on the 19s but not harsh especially on RFTs. But the car will handle better and feel more stable with the fatter tekkies.

3. The wheels will have to be balanced before fitment but no need for wheel alignment; unless you feel the alignment is currently out.

5. Wheel swop wont affect Motorplan. But stick to the RFTs. The latest run flats perform very well with the noisyness gone and you have the peace of mind when you have a flat tyre.

6. That particular VMR wheel in the picture you can order through Rennzport. Click on sponsors and you will see their name and details.

Lastly, to get the look in this picture you will have to lower the suspension. So in (addition) to the wheels you will have to get a lowering kit such as KW or Bilstein. So you can adjust the ride height to your liking.

Or you can get about 1/2 ton of cement bags placed at strategic places within the car. If you're from the East Rand, dead bodies also work ...

LOL...
Some bodies in the boot would be perfect...Anyone have something to counter the stink?!?

More seriously, what would a set of off-set 19" reps (VMR :inlove:) and some RFT's cost? anyone got a "cousin" or some such with some hot specials? :roflol:

Regards

You will have to PM the vendors directly. As mentioned Rennzport is a distributing agent for the VMRs.

Sent mails off already...shot.
Was actually hoping someone would have a ballpark on what they spent recently while they respond???

That's an option, though I have had some previous wheels painted and they started peeling around the bolts after 6 months? At R450 - R550 per wheel I'd have to spend an extra R2K+ on something which wasn't what I wanted in the first place...

I found some in the states on e-bay? Anyone know what import duty would be?

Apparently import rims is double the original price . So if your rims cost $ 800 , expect to pay $ 1600 if not more .

If you want VMR and the colour of your choice, drop me an email.

Fyi..
Expect to pay $500 or more on air freight alone if you're thinking of importing.
