Just wanted to know how you guys launch your M3 E92 M-DCT , I usually get too much of wheel spin , how do you do it?

DCS off, S6 on DCT, Sport mode on, Push DCT lever forwards, wait for chequered flag to come up on dash. Then push the throttle down. When ready just let go off the throttle.

I take it you are merely mashing the throttle, that is burnout mode, not LC

S6 is 'greyed out' even after having the DSC off I cant select S6 , any ideas why?

Are you in manual mode ? DSC has to be completely off and sport mode on.

Yes but you have to be in S6 with sport mode on. My car won't use LC unless those criteria are met

Yeah sorry, I mean if I just press the DSC button and do everything else u said, then the launch control works fine. I know on normal E90s u have to hold the button down to fully disengage DSC iirc

It works the same on the M3. You have to hold down the DSC button for a couple of seconds until the DSC off icon appears on the instrument cluster and idrive.

Ah ok, weird. Ours never needed to do that. I tried holding it down once before but nothing else appeared. As soon as I press the button, it just showed DSC off

Then maybe the E92's are different ? Or ones with M Dynamic ? My E90 with M dynamic also required a few seconds. So who knows

Ya its very confusing. We had the facelift E93, could be different, who knows!
