One small question....how does Torque kill a gearbox?

Well I would think that the gearbox would only get damaged if it wasn't made to handle launches? So i am sure the BMW techies took care of that issue?

Hi Guys,

got some great news. last night a friend and I were playing around with our vehicles, he just took delivery of the 435i (stunning car:inlove..... launch control works.

put car in park, switch of traction, move gear lever into sport (left foot on the brakes throughout launch sequence (or launch tower will cancel the launch:roflol, press gas pedal al the way down... eureka..... launch control activated displays with a checkered flag....


booom.... u off like a speeding bullet.....:bravo:

my car is only doing 1300km.........

hope the its works on everyone else's vehicle....

Yup, 4roze and I met up and it works. My car was on 400kms and it activated. I just havent launched the car yet with all the rain we having in durbs

on my car, its

1tap on the dtc switch, sport button on, gearknob shifted to sport and then one tug on the paddle to bring the gearbox to manual mode, foot flat on the pedal and brakes and wait for the chequer flag to appear. let go of the brake pedal and your away

And we wonder why GTI ous claim "As the light went green I out launched him and left his puny x35i/M car for dust!, All hail the k04" - Meanwhile the poor BM ou was requesting NASA for permission to take off trying to sort out his launch sequence :rollsmile:

Why in Park? Can't LC engage if you in sport mode with TC off?
Surely you cant pull up to the lights...and do this ridiculous procedure? lol

Think that was a typo.

Come to a stop. left foot on brake, tc off, put into sport. press accelerator flat. LC engages. Do all this while holding the brakes
