Last motor plan service coming up - any advice?

Hi all, hope you are all well.

Firstly I must say its nice to be a on forum where I can ask questions to people who just understand - period.

So my 2015 F30 LCI 320d is going in for its final service under motor plan in about a week from now. Thankfully it worked out that the '100 000km' service falls just before I actually reach the 100 000km mark so the motor plan still covers it - especially since its a major service. Besides for the normal items that the service will cover - anything you guys can suggest I can add to a list for BMW to check while its there? I've got wipers (hehehe) on the list so far, brakes are still fine so that is cool. Things that come to mind for me are rubbers, boots, seals, bearings etc...the more wear and tear items. But I am not that clued up technically so not sure about the types of rubbers/boots/seals etc. and perhaps there are other items you guys know off? Any help will be awesome. I would like to give them a list so that I give them something in writing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My list so far:

1. wipers

Diff & side shafts, inspect serpentine belt (99% sure they will replace it), aircon compressor, pressure test cooling system.

They will check these things if you ask, but most of the time won't replace unless genuinely worn out (the days of getting all the stuff done at the last service are long gone - you have to 'schedule' this over a few services as you approach the end). BMW HQ is very tough on them these days in terms of authorising these things

Door locks if its ever given you an issue. Here the door pin lock will not go down the same as the other doors or goes down but door still opens...Had a issue with it on a f20 and f30 so worth checking out - only fix is replace the door lock actuator.

Which Dealer are you planning to go to ?

Yes I've personally seen some dealers (not just BMW) be more helpful than others...some more willing to go out of their way than others. I guess that is just people for you. Can you guys recommend any specific dealers that would be more willing to assist with preventative maintenance on my last service?

Its amazing how the glorious M/Plan seems to make people sh*t themselves when it is about to lapse, it has to happen sometime unless you can afford a new car every so many Years "just" before the M/Plan runs out …………. as the other valid comments here keep to that list and you should be ok.

Its really not the end of the World, this is where true Fanatics start trusting their rides and knowing what and where they have bought from, then the planning with all the contacts you have made over all the Years of driving these cars comes into play and the understanding of the mechanics of these machines and workings etc ….

The BMW M/Plan is not the Alfa & Omega …… life carries on, treat your ride well, keep to servicing as per computer and preventative maintenance where required, anyway after having 18 of these cars with only a couple that were still on M/Plan that's my sixpence worth!

naaaa i wouldn't drive a newish luxury car out of plan for too long. Times have changed...cars are different ..to each their own.

but with that being said if i had to be out of plan with a newish luxury car...a 320d would probably be my choice
