Larger non OEM wheels affect Performance.

Lots of us replace wheels for larger ones but don't realise the effect on ratios , fuel consumption and the stresses applied to other suspension components.
I guess its a bit different if you were sticking a set of HRE carbon fibre wheels on.

There are also some good quality aftermarket wheels that are lighter and stronger too, but in general 90% of people change for a better looking larger rim and overall weight is a secondary issue.

Also as part of the complete package if you change for runflats to non-runflats on those larger wheels, there could be much less stress on the suspension.
