Its the charcoal/smoked not the black

The lights still shine a normal colour through the headlights and tail lights

its great for being different on the road

I have the same on my car and found that the stock halogen headlamps were slightly more dull on the road. I upgraded to an HID kit and LED park lamps.

Also the Laminex made the stock halogen headlamp and park globes appear even more yellow/brownish.

Mine was darker. Had them on when the car was white, took them off cos it didnt go well with the blue

Look at the difference between the 2 lights against the blue:
