Cosmetic, mostly. You get different colours and shades.

It protects against chips as well I have clear on my front headlights and fogs

Autostyle are stockists on original lamin-x and it's the only DIY route to take, VPS shields are obviously your 1st bet here..

If you use the original lamin-x (the proper thick stuff and not the cheapy stuff most of all the 'fitment' places use) then it offers quite good protection from stone chips, etc. It's the very 1st thing you put on your new car, especially the fogs... :coolShake:

Use a heatgun/hairdryer and you should be good!

I got some Lamin-x from autostyle about 2 weeks ago to do my headlight, wanted to do my fogs too but they never had stock of the yellow.

I opted for the 7% tint but did it mostly to protects my lights as i do a lot of freeway driving, the original lamin-x is quite thick and I had to heat it up with a heat gun before applying it.

It does reduce the output of your lights but not that notable.

Does putting lamin-x affect the brightness of your lights? One would assume so. I have standard lights, I just worry it'd make them even worse than they already are.

Yes something like the above e90 will negatively affect it. You get clear laminex, which if it did effect it, would not be noticeable.

You think that will be a problem for me, since my xenons flashes now instead of my inner halogen lights :roflol: , punishment for upgrading FRM :crazylaugh:
