Thank you to everyone that came out today! What an epic event!
Waffles were awesome, cars were beautiful, people were happy and the bystanders loved it.
Here's how the day went down...
8:00 everyone met up at BP Prospecton and socialized while the rest of the guys got there, we left at 8:45 and set off in a massive "BMW train", people on the road were waving and smiling to see those beautiful machines take over the road.
Driving along the way I had to turn my radio off just to listen to the beautiful S85 exhaust note that always gets the hair on the back of my neck standing. Followed by Ashmans lovely 1///M.
Along the way we had some of the random BMW's join our convoy as they wanted a piece of the action. Really nice seeing new cars at our events.
As we got to the Waffle House the guys parked alongside the beach parking lot and started getting pictures(the pics will be coming soon) people who were supposed to be swimming, surfing, having fun actually left what they were doing to admire the proudly BMW parking lot we had created, posing with the cars and taking pics.
After the pics we decided to go get some waffles and were joined by Dale and the crew from SMG South Coast. They brought along some epic cars and a bike. 640i GC, F80, i8, Z4, F30 320d...
After waffles we went back for more pics and socializing with the guys. Dale kindly asked us if we were interested in going to Dezzi Raceway to watch some of the guys go at it at the track. Arriving there and seeing a 1///M at home hitting apex's and our very own Sean from Axis was epic. As we made our way down to the pits to check the rest of the cars out we came across wide body BMW race car, at first we thought it's a 4 series then we realized it's actually an E92 with an F32 front end and an N55 power train. Boy does that car make us happy. Walking further down we had a chat with the racers and our 1///M owners naturally went to speak to the 1///M owner at the track giving him some tips on tyres and fuel while learning about his car in the process.
After spending some time there the guys decided to cruise back home and get some well deserved rest.
All in all this was a very fun event and I was astonished with the turnout as our list here wasn't very populated. The guys really enjoyed the social and we hope that they join our events more.
Thanks once again, hope you guys enjoyed the day.
