We bought a 2005 e46 318i. 2 months after we bought the car we started havibg issues. Picked up a miss with an erratic idle. We sent the car in and was told we need to change the timing chain and gears as it wass worn out. Then we changed the vvti motor as we were told that it was faulty. We further changed the computer box as the new motor few it up. Despite replacing all these components the problems are still there. The last thing we changed was the coil packs. We have now sent the car back and was told that the computer box was from a manual is wount work on our auto. The techi said he'll try to do something to cancel the gearbox warning light and the miss
