Is no one locked in the trunk?:fencelook:

 Funny you should mention that, had a worn out boot lock causing a shock type knock on an E30. Have a look, who knows? :fencelook:

I have developed this problem in the last few days, only notice on uneven road surfaces... not shock mountings... well at least they look ok.

So interested to hear moooaaaarrrr thoughts?!? I want to do track day on Saturday (My Birthday :joy:) but don't feel like a collapsing shock going around lets say... turn 4...n:thumbdo:

 Or diff jumping out on the straight! Seriously, though, I understand your concerns. Do you have a set of axle stands? Best to pick it up, take a crow bar and pull/push things around, roadworthy test style, see what moves. Is the exhaust definitely out of the question? :fencelook:

Thanks Bud. Will take a look again tomorrow. I also want to take a closer look at the swaybar ends and linkages.

Yep. No play. Maybe I have a cracked sub frame? Looking from underneath there was nothing. Maybe it needs to be off the car for better inspection.

Fuel tank loose? Only 1 thing left, drive it till it breaks. The only alternative answer is that it's the boy racer in you knocking to come out!

Hey Guys.

After speaking with Claude and checking on the hoist, they found that the sub frame and bushes were ok.

Last night I finally diagnosed the problem, its the rear ball joints. Yey! At least I know the problem, but OEM bushes are R700 ea. I need 4.
Hpefully I sort it out this weekend.

Its fixed. Four new rear ball joints. Feels alot more planted and secure at the back.
Wished I'd done this earlier. Next job: Propshaft CV
