I took a look on Killarney's calendar and noticed that there will be Regional Main Circuit Racing on the 7th of November which is a Saturday. This usually included things like Clubmans, GTI Challange, Classic Cars, Bikes, Sports and GT, and Supercars. You can take a look here what will be racing on what day: http://wpmc.co.za/_downloads/2009/Races-per-category-2009rev4.pdf

List of races on the 7th include:
Classic Cars
Clubmans
GTI Challenge
Super Biks
Sports, GT and Touring cars
Single Seaters/Formula libre
Classic/Power sports/D/F800 (Not sure what this is)
And V8 Masters - Below is a clip

It's a whole day of racing which usually start at about 09:00 or 10:00 and ends at about 17:00. I've been to a few of these and it's fantastic fun to watch the cars crash... :mmm:... I mean... :mmm:... go round the track.

I like Engen Corner most because most of the offs are on that corner and there is a lot of space to have a braai ect.

The red line shows were the gravel roads are.

I really want to go, but the tappet noise is really bad. I think it might be the injectors as I think the noise is coming from them. So I'll book the car in sometime to have it checked out and most likely replace them. Who knows when was the last time the car got new injectors anyway. Hopefully I'll have it sorted before the 7th.

It seems people are afraid of killarney... :mmm:

I am going. Should we meet up somewhere before we go to the track?

The other thing about engen corner I forgot to mention is the billboards that are up there. They block the sun in the afternoon which is great if you forget your sunblock like I have a habit of doing.

Anyway... we can stop at engen corner, have braai and a beer. If we are early enough we should get parking right behind where we'll be (marked in Green). I'll be honest... it's a bit dusty, but I think it's the best corner as you can see all they way to West Bank corner and it's the most exciting corner. So bring any camera's you have. Marked in yellow is where I suggest we go in. It's shorter and there is a tar road up until engen, then just a short bit of gravel.

Awesome as usual  Even with a fogged window and no wipers my mate still managed third in his class of the Clubmans i.e. the last race of the day when it was pissing down. His rule was first yellow marker slow down, second yellow marker brake, third yellow marker turn ha.

I REALLY wanted to go, but the weather was terrible. We were planning to go drive straight from killarney to Grand West to see Barry Hilton. I figured there would be a good chance the rain would spoil our day at killarney and then we would have to leave early. That meant driving all the way home to somerset and then drive back again to grand west. So in the end I decided to skip killarney. I so wanted to go and see them V8's... :bawling:

Yeah, rain kind of kept me at home. I was not in the mood for a cold shivering day, or spending the day in my car.
