Key broke of in Cap (Original Alpina )

Hi Guys,

Some advice needed please. I have an original set of Alpinas and the key broke off in the cap of one of them and no locksmith can get it open. Does anyone here have any advice to salvage the lock without destroying it? The wheel is currently on the car and the wheel is flat hence my needing to remove the cap.

Thanks in Advance
Fuad

is this the lock with a pin tumbler mechanism? i.e like a padlock? if they can get the broken key out with a key extractor, it should be easy to pick open if they cant remake the key.

what did the locksmiths say?

Can you get the wheel inflated or partially inflated with a can of tyre-weld, and a foot pump, if so, do that and then drive to the closest fitment centre
have them repair the puncture whilst wheel is still on the car. I know my guys do that when they are too lazy to remove the wheel

I wonder if an engineering company could remove it for you , like how they remove broken bolts?

Same thing happened on my 333. Locksmith easily removed the piece and cut a new key. Try a different locksmith.

Whatever you do, DO NOT destroy that lock. Can you not get to any piece of the key that's stuck in there? Push onto the cap to try relieve some tension on the lock and stick a pin or something to try pick the piece out then get another key made.
