German tuning house Kelleners Sport, based in Dinslaken, Germany, has just revealed a new package their are releasing officially at the Geneva Autoshow for the 5-Series.

Kelleners sport, the brainchild of race car driver Ralf Kelleners has traditionally focused on suspension and engine tuning, but has also been increasingly working on Optik-tuning or aerodynamic styling bits to add to his company's portfolio.

This new package for the 5-Series remains true to this philosophy of merging handling and engine dynamics made to the standards of a professional race driver and optical enhancements.

First and foremost, under the hood, Kelleners claim a 20% increase in overall power output on both Diesel and Gasoline variants, details are limited but these gains are most certainly from software gains made by modulating turbo boost.

On the handling from, Kelleners has fit the car with custom springs which lower the car by 30mm or 1.18"

Syling wise, working off a base M-Sport package car is a smart move. The car is certainly sexy off the bat, and Kelleners tries to massage the car a bit by adding a new MS front spoiler lip, rear apron and diffuser. The MS lips certainly do the job, but the silver mesh grill is not my taste at all. I really dislike it, but to each his own, and I could see how it would be acceptable for a show car, it does grab your attention on first glance.

To complete the look, 20" wheels are a must for the 5-series, 9" in the front and 10" in the rear, with the requesite 225/35 up front and 285/30 in the rear. Plenty of meat to put down the extra power.

Complete Tuning Package for the BMW 5 Series with M Sports Package

· Enhanced performance for petrol and diesel engines
· Comprehensive aerodynamics package creates a sporty appearance
· 20-inch alloy wheels in "Hamburg" and "Berlin" designs
· Interior enhanced with added accessories

Kelleners Sport brings new dynamics to the BMW 5 series with M sports package. The comprehensive aerodynamics package, enhanced performance, optimised suspension and stylish upgrade of the interior transform the already sporty-looking saloon into a really racy vehicle.

Kelleners Sport engineers have unleashed around 20 per cent more engine power for petrol and diesel models. The 520d, for instance, now reaches 218 hp (160 kW), instead of the standard 184 hp (135kW), and maximum torque reaches 450 instead of 380 Newton metres. The performance of the 535i jumps from 306 hp (225 kW) to 367 hp (270 kW) with maximum torque increasing from 400 to 480 Newton metres.

The 5 series with M sports package demonstrates this increase in power together with Kellener Sport's elegant aerodynamics package. The electropolished stainless steel mesh of the MS three-part front grille emphasises the sporty origins of the BMW specialists. The dynamic design starts at the MS front spoiler lip, moves onto the side mouldings and grabs attention at the end with the rear spoiler, Kelleners lettering and MS rear apron with integrated diffuser. The oval stainless steel exhaust pipes measuring 225 x 90 millimetres add a sporty edge both left and right.

Seems kinda silly on a 520d or a 535i, when the 550i is a twin turbo V8 with a LOT of spare capacity... But they probably wanted a bigger consumer base.

I thought 20% is a bit conservative, seeing as most of the new 5 series models are turbo'ed, so they should be able to get a lot more out of the engines, but for the NA petrol ones, I would say that is not too bad.

And I have to agree the mesh on the front really spoils the look, that should just have stayed with how BMW did it. This looks like something that you would get from autostyle (free with a fibre glass bumper of your choice of course)

I am assuming motorplan stays intact when you get this done.
