I am currently busy with one which had a catastrophic failure on the chain guide rails which went a lot deeper than cams and also smacked pistons and bearings.

If it were the M60 with the duplex chain, I would not worry, but they went cheap on the M62.

R5k in parts now is a lot cheaper than the inevitable engine rebuild if you don't attend to this sooner or later.


Still an amazing car though and I have seen it up close on a number of occasions.
