Just humour me on this. (DIY)

Right, so in Dec. last year I took the car to Zeemax for a service. I decided to change the fanbelt and a/c belt . As I have always used Goodyear Gatorback on all my cars, I bought them and asked Zeemax to supply the fitment. Now, I couldn't find a 4pk X 778mm for a/c, I bought a 780mm. Bear in mind it is only 2mm difference. Allegedly the mech could not fit it, he told me it is too long. This morning I decided screw this I am fitting the damn 780mm. (Could not do it earlier, as I was in deepest, dark Africa for the past 5mts) Did it, checked for correct play, etc. No worries. W.T.F.? No diss to Uncle Zaid and the guys, I love them, but why would this mech bullsh@&t me?

my guess would be that he did not even try, he just looked at the belt, saw that it was longer and stopped right there. maybe he thought it was two centimeters longer..

No, Net, I SAW him try, that's what baffles me, it took me 2mins.

O.K. So I was wrong, the new belt is slipping a bit. Did not think the 2mm would make a difference. Put the old one back. Just reaffirmed me that I am utilising the right people. Thank you for good service Zeemax.
