just had an accident. facelift 330i individual. write off?!

So i pull away from the robot...normal pull away nothing crazy & this asshole in a company van takes the gap (arrows stopped for them but he turned across intersection) so i flip him the bird & proceed..next thing this lady in a jeep also takes the gap & it was just too tight. braked but hit her. so its the fender, bonnet, bumper (mtech 2),headlight/indicator & little jobby under light. car is insured for R81 000. Do you guys think it will be written off? will add pic

Write off, unless the insurer is happy to accept a quote on pirate parts (which are at least available for 3 series). If it were a 5er or 7er, it would have been at the scrapyard already.

its got 170 000km on the clock..i bought it as it finished motorplan. if its written off & i can buy it i prob will. i have another 1 though.

no its really not. easy fix for us BUT replacement parts are expensive & then to spray & fit. not Ralfs car was crazy man. it was basically a headlight & bumper.

Fender 7k
Bonnet 12k

Fog light 2.5k
Fender liner 2k

Already more than half the car's value, without labour. So, write off.

The fate is determined by how much the car means to you, and availability of either second-hand parts or pirate parts to bring the cost down.
