I see on another forum that the victims were apparently a Chinese family, maybe on their way home or to a bank from a shop they own, and that the hijackers also left with an undisclosed amount if money. So these guys were probably followed for a while.

Lesson here is to be vigilant.

I get paranoid if I see the same car behind me for too long, and so I put my foot down and lose them.
