Hi Guys!
So I've done a thing, not impulsively, but definitely a "seize the opportunity" kind of thing.
A friend of mine has recently decided he wants some change in his garage and sold me his e90 330d Stage 3 Hybrid. The car wasn't for sale, necessarily, but when he light-heartedly mentioned it being up for grabs I jumped at the opportunity and we settled on a price.
So I've gone ahead and purchased Julian's 330d, tuned by Madness Motorsport/Mapping(as was my previous car; e90 320d) and all the hardware done by himself under his unofficial trading name of Juju Customs. "Why on earth would you buy a heavily modified car?", well, first of all the software and tuning was done by Madness Motorsport whom I've come to know as being reliable and effective in making power even with extra hardware. Second of all, Julian has built up a great reputation in the local scene for doing reliable, clean and well-educated work. His personal car receiving the very best treatment to ensure that it kills on Sunday and commutes on Monday.
Some people prefer "built, not bought". I say, why not "built, then bought"?
I've referenced 'jumping in the deep end' in the title of this thread because the car itself is modified heavily and makes much more power than anything I've ever owned, not to mention being the fastest car I've ever driven personally. I also use the term 'deep end' because I am out of my depth in terms of technical knowledge and hands-on capabilities, meaning I have asked that Julian keeps working on the car in the future and that he has his finger on the pulse with everything the car needs to run properly and possibly go even faster.
Sorry for the long read, but I am quite excited to share her with you and update as she undergoes a few changes in the near future. This photograph will serve as a teaser, with a proper photoshoot along with a YouTube video from my channel to provide a proper insight into the build and performance aspects.
