Is Valeo a good brand?

I did a scan on my car and it stated camshaft position sensor inlet , I know my sensors have never been replaced so went to BMW , quoted R1350 or there about . But no stock in Durban , Stock in Jhb , Have to wait till monday .

Went to goldwagen , They had a Valeo made in germany for R425 , I purchased it and installed it in my car . The error has since gone and I can feel a difference in how the car performs and its fuel consumption .

I compared the two and they were identical in every way possible , including the color of the rubber O ring even where the numbers are typed.

Both did not have any branding on it My original .

When it comes to sensors I always feel comfortable with buying original BMW , but in this case I had no choice or time .

Would I be fine with this brand? Or should I be alert for a possible failure later on? I heard some bad story's about non original sensors failing quickly .

Thanks guys

I went to Diesel Electric after BMW , and they told me that they dont have this sensor in Bosch for my car , only "dealers"

So my last hope was Goldwagen and the Valeo.

Valeo is an OEM supplier of many parts to BMW. That is not to say that they are THE manufacturer that supplies this specific part to BMW, but it gives you an idea of their general credibility.

I think this part will be fine.
