Depends where you are...

JHB I had this on my STI with velcro only. No plate holder or anything. Stopped MANY times (as is normal when you have a scooby) and never had any issues.

I still don't understand why it's cool for motorcycles to only have one but cars need both. Makes no sense whatsoever :hammerhead:

If you are involved in an accident with what is pretty much a guillotine in front of your bike your chances of making it are close to none

Fair point, never actually thought of that. Still think they should just apply the same rule across all vehicles though, one plate on the rear mandatory, front optional.

If I am not mistaken some people I know that decided to do that did get fined due to it been considered a motorcycle plate. Which means you have an incorrect plate and not been clearly displayed.

The Alfa plate is on the side from factory but it is rectangle and not square.

Why we get confused is because some cops let it pass, some don't. For example, a cop pulled my girlfriend's mum on the freeway from the middle lane to pull her Perspex plates off, It was not a fancy font even.

I am not a fan of a square plate, I just drive with no front plate :smilebounce: unless I am driving far, then I just put the plate back, what makes it easy for me is I bought an Impact strip, so I put it on whenever I want and in my boot is my number plate already stuck onto the holder, so I just removed the impact strip and put the holder with the plate back.
