That is correct, the reason being that we have yet to find anyone locally that can do a recover to the same quality of our current supplier - Who just happens to be based in Germany.

Cost?

This all depends on what you would like done, what finish, what style and what material.

What would a standard re-leather cost? nothing fancy.

Gareth I do standard recovers but turnaround times are long because I have a daily job as well.

Both prices are in exchange for the current steering wheel on your car.

Thanks bud , but Yikes , I won't be doing that mod anytime soon at all , due to the price of the first one , I have the same steering already , just not the thickness

Looks very good though

I have the exact cover you asked about which i had my son bought off ebay and he brought it with him when he visited here in December of last year. Only difference is mine was for my old E36 and it did not have the coloured stitching. I know that it does not look as good as a geniune (read Rick540 type) cover but for my purpose it is working just fine. My steering wheel was worn through at the top part of the steering wheel and what i did was to stick a thin layer of sponge onto the wheel (all round the circumference of the wheel) with contact adhesive and then i put the cover on, just to give it a bit of "body". I started off with one of the bottom sections which did not came out to well and then a week or so later i undid that section and redid it. I am more than happy with the result. The leather feels good although it is soft to the touch. Will see what it does in SA sunlight, but i try and protect it as much i can. Still looking good three months later.
