And yes it is the carbon fiber one, my brother has one on his car so not difficult to find the part number.

I paid close the the amount Legacy said for mine, but the one in the ad looks like the one for the e9x as the mounting points are different also there was no BMWPerfomance parts for the e46 M3

Aftermaket E46 carbon struts braces go for about R3000 new!

Well he clearly states for E46 M3 but had to modify To fit 335i.
I know the same brace that Sank has will fit the E46 M3 with a slight mod.
It was done by a forum member here.

And last time I checked BMW stopped manufacturing the c/f strut braces for the e46. I tried to order one earlier this year and they were unable to supply me with one. The price quoted to me was in the region of R4800.00 from Auto Bavaria.
