Is paying R143 for a park light globe for E39 angel eyes normal?

Well here is the problem. My car, being a '98 model shouldn't have angel eyes. One of the previous owners did the upgrade with genuine Hella lights. It makes the car look very nice. Will post the part number later.

I have the facelift xenon lights. I have globe reflector combo. Mine BMW wanted something like R300-400 each when i called. so R143 does better.

BUT I order some LED one off ebay that costed me R276 for pair

The angel eye bulbs from the dealer come with an adapter and they sell the complete unit. Last I checked, my dealer quoted me R360+ for one. I told them to keep it.
You can open the adapter and it reveals a phillips 12v 10w bulb which is not easy to come by. You can get the 12v 20w bulb but some have said that the 20w bulb burns much hotter and may melt the housing.
R143 is a fair price for the bulbs, especially if are the phillips blue vision.

I vaguely recall replacing the park light globe that powers up the E39 angel eyes for R5 or R10 from Midas ....

BTW, it is the same globe as the interior front dome light, as I swapped it with this first and bought the globe a few days later.

Turns out that the BMW globe has the wrong offset of the locating pins, so I got my R143 back! Midas are waiting for stock and they are under R10!

True, but paying BMW prices is too steep. The Midas globes are only 4W, so they are no good. I have been to Good Hope Spares, who stock the Osram range and I have got the correct globe for R20 inc Vat, so I bought 4!

BMW sells the same globe for R120 more!

I paid R9 for a normal globe for my car (Either Midas or AutoZone). As soon as a part has a manufacturer's name on it, it turns into gold.... true story.
