Another reason for this is production lines don't need much changes to produce more units. Due to the costs involved, it is easier to bring out a face-lift etc with minor changes to the production line which increases sales therefore greater profit

Moral of the story, buy a Renault! Very unique cars lol.

I do agree though, there's nothing that really stands out anymore.

The one thing Renaults do have in common is the trail of parts it leaves on the roads behind them :roflol: hahaha totes kidding.

Add A Kidney Grille To A Modern Kia And You've Got Yourself A Budget Bimmer

Have you ever looked at a Kia and thought how much it looks like a BMW? Probably not, but simply adding a BMW kidney grille onto a modern Kia reveals just how many design cues have been 'borrowed' from the German giant...

To answer the question, its not only you, looks like designers have run out of ideas. Question from my side, if between the different range they do look the same, are they the same size? meaning are parts eg. Headlights, , bumpers, grills interchangeable? Will they cost the same at the dealership? Will the part numbers differ?

Bangle FTMFW...

Yea, I fully agree with this.

Even within our own brand, its a stuffup.

I was parked next to a friends E38 750iL with the F10, there was prob about about 10cm or so difference in length... that's an LI compared to a common 5.

The previous range, you could CLEARLY distinguish between the ranges,

Now you have to look really close from the front to tell if its a 7 or a 3 series from the front.

The interiors are also carbon copy of each other, you can say what you want about chris bangle, at least when he designed there was a distinct difference between the interiors.

Don't get me wrong, the F series is def a looker, however they could have paid more attention to distinguishing inter models...

I fully understand the economy's of scale principle, but that was never a design criteria...

I think the bangle butt was magic ,and the e60 really stood out in the crowd its time less and will still be noticed in the future ,I have a F10 , the seating position does not feel as good as in a e60 to me but there is definetly something in the F10 that's eye catching

the wife's renault just went in for an engine change on 101 000kms, lucky the warranty is 150 000kms/5 years.

i think a few car brands use similar or same suppliers for headlights and tail lights and so on...........therefore these cars look very similar.

Noticed this on the ford fiesta's and similar size cars.

Well, at BMW the interior door handle for an E39 M5 is more expensive than the door handle for an E39 530d.

:flyfun:

Same item.

Gone are the days where the M cars looks amazing compared to the rest of the brand.
