Is it a N54 or N55

Hi guys
I just bought a 135I coupe (from Fouche). Its a 2010 model but according to BMW and the VIN its a N55. Didnt the N55 only start with the 2011 models?
Would mine then be a 225kw or 235kw? Could someone please clarify?

Hi bud open your bonnet. If the engine cover says twin power turbo then it's N55. If not then it's the N54. Not sure about the power outputs though (Should be 225kw), I think it was the F series 1ers coming with updated power.

Thats what i thought too, but it says Twin power on the engine and according to my VIN its N55

Ahaaa, that is probably whats confusing me....

If the VIN check says N55, then that's what it is. No way to fake that (other than an engine transplant).

So if its N55 then it is 225kW. The 2012 F20 M135i came with 235kW. The list below shows the E82 N55 as 225kW up until 2013.
