Is e30ClubSA gone?

I generally browse from my iPad while in bed. Seldom on the forums during the day. So that plugin won’t help for guys like me. Not sure how many people have the same scenario so the point may very well be moot. I agree that hosting pics on the forum is the better solution though, going forward

We do host them, but it's not a strong plugin. We have a new one we want to install but the forum first needs a major upgrade that we're planning to support it.

No its not... if you get pissed off here and want to leave, The forum owns your pics and your content... Would be better to host in this regard as you just kill the hosting account on your exit.

Well, there is that I guess it doesn't bug me, as once it's on the interwebs it's public anyway so I couldn't care less if the forum keeps the pics should I leave permanently.

There are free image hosting sites which can be used. I've used imgbb.com. Works perfectly.

Bear in mind many car clubs are Whatsapp only now with a presence on social platforms and a website (if that). Not impossible for a forum to disappear and the community to stay active elsewhere.

How do other forums migrate to WhatsApp?

I’m not having any ideas haha, I am just wondering how the posting would work, how would threads work on a WhatsApp group?

Lol no not threads. Just basic groups with many people in them chatting as you would normally via whatsapp. This is what the guys above are saying - the index of wealthy knowledge gets lost.

@ChefDJ, oh :roflol: I thought maybe I missed out on a new WhatsApp feature or something.
This forum is great as it is, sure in time we will need some updates etc but other than that I really hope it does not die out.

@Jeremy.d do they become worthwhile at that point? I already have other groups on my WhatsApp which I thought would be beneficial but they are just not what they were intended to be.

Personally, the main point of this is to access and share knowledge...
Social stuff becomes different. Once in a while like events and stuff is okay, but WhatsApp groups buzzing constantly is just annoying... That's my opinion, I'm sure others disagree.

They don't work for me to be honest and they really are a disaster when it comes to saving or looking back on great content. I've exited the vast majority. There is an M Fanatics group and one other club group I'm on. It is mostly social and then arranging meets. Those that turned into for sale spam groups got deleted.

I found e30clubsa to be a great site full of passionate people with much knowledge and insight into the BMW and e30 world, really bummed it is down. It also went down at the worst time, I was in the process of buying parts I really need for my car, and did not get to the point of exchanging details.
The guys' username is Sp33dy but none of the numbers I got from fellow members was active. If anyone knows how to contact him plz DM me, he was known to have sold some rare e30 stuff.

I dont know Sp33dy outside the forum. Have you spoken to Blaqjew? He may have what you're looking for, or know how to contact Sp33dy.:thumbs:
