Is Bavarian Auto Recycling (IPC) good?

Considering purchasing a recycled engine from them and having it installed by a BMW dealership, are their engines good? Any pros and cons to evaluate?

We considered buying from them witht the Witch`s rebuild. Only heard good things about them.

I got my S54 Cylinder head from them. I've had no issues. They a little more expensive than other places but you get a warranty and the stuff is guaranteed to be in good condition. A few other places just strip cars that are written off and sell off the "good" parts.

Bavarian Auto recycling (IPC) import engines from Japan that are sometimes as young as 50 000km. From my understanding, Japan has strict laws about car emissions and by the 5th year or a certain mileage, the car needs to go into a major overhaul, replacing the entire brake system and sometimes, the engine itself. Apparently this makes owning a car longer than 5 years expensive, so the cars are sold or shipped overseas for another market. IPC looks for young BMW engines from Japan etc.

They do also search for parts here in SA that are in good condition and work.
