My 320i is now 2 years old and I am extremely happy with it. However some mornings / or when the engine is cold, I have irregular idling. Car will run at about 1200-1300 rpm and then dip down to 800 or so revs and then climb back to 1200. If I put it into gear to move off the drop is a little lower and almost seems to want to stall. On the move car is fine after 1 or 2 km if I come to a stop. Almost as if choke is turned off after initial fire up? It never seems struggles or fails to start. 37000km on the clock.
10 years ago the 1400 Nissan acted exactly the same but that had a manual choke I could control. Wife thinks it is incredibly funny that her I20 at 7 years old is a lot smoother on start up.
Any ideas?
