This has actually happened to me before with a Samsung S4. Used tongs and sticks to fish it out.

Hi,

This is the way i have been doing it form years, the easy way of getting it out is find the steepest hill you can find, and I mean steep, reverse as fast as you can and hit the brakes. Make sure you don't have anything in the area. If you have some one willing to lying the back at the vent this helps to catch it. Some times you need to do it 2-3 times. Has worked every time for me. Saves having to remove the seat and carpet.

PLEASE USE CAUTION when doing this.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Over the years I have had to remove lots of things from those vents, from cell phones to lip stick, kids toys and lots of pens.

If you can see it , Maybe heres an idea , Add presstick onto the end of the coat hanger , Squash it against the phone and gently pull it out , press stick will stick to the phone and hanger and could help in getting it out .

If Bluetooth is enabled and you can get a charger to it, I say leave it, built in car phone, what a great feature.....

On a more serious note I would remove the seat/vent to get it out unless you can see it, try use an ice cream stick with some glue from a glue gun to attach to the phone.

How I would do it....

Little bit of superglue at the end of the coat hanger, touch it to the phone and let it dry, then pull it out, superglue should clean off the phone easily especially if on a metal part or screen.

OK, so after trying all of the above. The decision was made that the seat is coming out and the phone will be removed that way.
