Ya, got my fingers crossed. What I don't get through is how I saw zero sign of a visible leak. I may not know much but I'm not blind.

This is of course the problem. In a perfect world you wouldn't need to cross your fingers.

Even though I believe that I'm "relatively" clued up on stuff in general, it's very easy to get ripped off. I for instance don't know all that much about the exact and specific working of all the error codes and shenanigans of my car's ECU, so I have to rely on what a "stealer" tells me. And sometimes they just tell you pure BS, and in the process they steal your money. Sometimes they don't know themselves, but this they will of course not tell you. It's in their nature. If I find out later that they screwed me over, it's usually too late to do anything about it.

No easy solution for this problem. The best I personally can do is work on my own cars, but sometimes I make major screwups. But mostly I learn from them. But the screwups also cost me money. For some (most) people like you (and not because your'e retarded or a woman) that is just not an option.

So Ya, I understand your problem. Best is to try and get a "reputable" person working on your car, that you can trust. How do you get one of those - well I haven't sorted that one out for myself yet. Quick tip - avoid family.

And the terrifying thing is that often the stealers haven't got a clue themselves and end up taking stabs in the dark which guess who has to pay for... So in many cases it's best to take the car to a specialist that knows how to diagnose and fix these sorts of specific problems!

It's a guy thing. They (we) like to look at pics and fantasise. This why porn is such a profitable business. Same principle.

Since you're in cape town the best oke to call for help would be Rick540. He's really clued up and if you have any queries ask him. He's been of great assistance to me before.

OK, OK... let's try and stay on topic a bit more than usual. :mmm:

@LaurenL: Let us know what the mechanics have found and we can take it from there. In the mean time, how many km does the car have?
