Intermittent loss of power with 330i E90

Hi BMW fans, I am a new user.
I have a 2005 BMW E90 330i Auto with approx. 153,000kms.
I have recently had the car serviced, and a new exhaust Vanos was fitted, a new timing chain was fitted, but the tensioner apparently did not require replacement.
These parts were changed due to an ongoing intermittent problem as described below.
I am experiencing an ongoing intermittent problem, when I increase power on the accelerator, even from idle, the car hesitates, almost stalls, and then slowly picks up speed/power.
Then there is not problem for a while, and then it happens again.
This can be very dangerous, when wanting to overtake, and the car hesitates.
Has anyone had similar issues, or does anyone have a solution to this problem ?

Regards,
Neil

I drive the manual version of that same car and year but never had that on this one.

It does sound like the car is choked when accelerating like the air/fuel ratio issue, maybe disconnect your MAF and see if the car doesnt improve thus eliminating the air problem. Did you take the car for diagnostics, assume you have as you replaced vanos exhaust solenoid

What codes did you get after replacing the solenoid?
