Installing a chip on 320i Auto E90

Hi

Is this possible do to without altering the standard onboard computer?
Has anyone done this before?
What power gains are expected?
Is it a reliable?

Any other information will be appreciated

The main reason for me wanting to install an aftermarket chip is to increase performance when I need it the most and fuel consumption.

Use the search button, its been discussed numerous times.
General consensus is that its not worth it on the 320i.

Rather sell the 320i, add the money you would have wasted on a chip for it, and buy a 330i.

You're not going to get the answer you want. It's a complete waste of money. You will see tiny gains.

It's better to sell for a 320d or 330i.

Unless you strap a turbo/supercharger to these 4pots you will not see gains, 10kw at most if you are lucky.

thanks for the info. I used the search function and came across a lot of the same topic. what I gathered, like all of you said its not worth the spend and better to spend money on looks/sell and buy 6 cylinder.

I will will be keeping the 320i as I am enjoying it very much; was merely just investigating possibilities.

Not a big difference. The most notable difference should be throttle response.
