Hi All, first time BMW owner here and need some advice. Recently bought a 2010 325i e92 facelift, i was advised to take it in for a insection 1 service, but the guys at the dealership said that BMW dont do this type of service on the e92 models. Is this true?

Name and shame the dealership.

Inspection 1 is a more detailed service than a regular oil change. The dealership will use your vehicles specific VIN number, and it will show the scope of the Inspection 1 for your vehicle.

They use conditional based servicing these days, no more at certain mileage the do a full service, the on board computer let's them know what needs to be done.

Example my dads f10, obc showed it needed an oil service. But it also showed that in like 2500 kms needs brakes, so he told them to do both while it was in. They wouldn't do it, had to book it in again for the brakes 1 month later. Its such a pai

My car has never been to BMW for just an oil service :fencelook:

Even with just the oil service light on, they always end up changing additional filters or brake pads well before they are due to be replaced :fencelook:
