Inspection service

hi guys just got off the phone with a workshop about an inspection service. the woman reckons its a big service. i searched on the forum and found a post that stated that the only thing that gets replaced is the oil and oil filter.

so what on earth is this big service she speaks about? i'm in cape town. i spoke to kosie swanepoel people and i have requested a quote from zeemax as well.

i dont to be taken for a ride.

Zeemax is great. Only place in CT where my car goes. Depends which service it is. I, II, OR III. How much did they quote u? Phone again and speak to Rashard.

Have a look in your BMW service book. The difference between the Inspection I, II, oil service, etc are listed. This should give you a good indication of what happens during an Inspection service.

However, it will not tell you exactly what needs replacing ... as that's the point of an "inspection"

as said before, first find out whether its due for a inspection I or II.

if the lady said it's a big service it's probably a inspection II.

and from my knowledge, on inspection II they change:
oil + oil filter
pollen filter
spark plugs
fuel filter (although haynes manual recommend it be changed every 2nd inspection II)

above mentioned things are definitly going to be changed, but as also mentioned earlier, the idea of a inspection is to see what else need replacing.

eg: if they check your brake discs and discover they are below minimum, they have to be replaced.

feedback from kosie swanepoel. why would they quote me for the oil service seperately if it is included in the inspection. i didnt ask if its included though. i suspect its seperate though:
