Inspecting an E39

I'm interesting in purchasing a manual E39 from someone. I've inspected the car and for the most part it is up to standard. I'm am now looking for a mechanic or someones that has experience with the car to have a look at the internalsl. Perhaps give it a test drive and look at the common faults.

Im in Cape Town. Please direct me to any local knowledgeable mechanics or alternatively, please PM me if you can assist.

(Im fully aware that servicing and repairs will need to be done but want to avoid buying one that needs major work)

The leaking power steering fluid reservoir is a common issue and not a big deal. Tell us more about the car? Maybe post all the Info you have gathered on the car and its history and we can comment?
