Good Day Everyone,

I am currently shopping for an R56 Mini Cooper S with the N18 Engine. I have gone to look at a specific model at WeBuyCars. I really like the car as it has a fair amount of options above the others that I have looked at.

Information as Follows:
2012
121000km
R130000.00

Last Service History Stamp: 53000km. (BMW Northcliff Auto refuses to provide me with any additional information on the vehicle as I am not the vehicle owner.)

  • No smoke on startup or idle.
  • Engine is silent in terms of listening for the timing chain death rattle.

Issues:
Union Jack Roof Decal is peeling and will have to be removed/replaced.
Passenger door lock button does not go down to lock position (However door lock is fully functional)
Top Bonnet Trim is broken and will need to be replaced.

Questions:
1. Where could I possibly obtain more information on any additional services if done at BMW.
2. Does anyone on the forum perhaps know who the previous owner of this vehicle is based on the pics below:

So a quick search on Hello Peter etc for these guys.

Don’t fall in love with a price at the expense of a massive headache down the line.

Took me almost 3 months of finding a Z4 and it was worth the hunt.

I used an independent broker to hunt one down for me. Made a huge difference.

You can't paint all their cars with the same brush. They have some decent cars that are well priced. They also have a lot of junk. People complain more in general than they compliment and with the amount of cars these guys sell, they would probably have their fair share of cr@p passing through to unsuspecting buyers.

WSC is just as good or bad as any other dealer or even buying private.

The OP is on the right track in trying to get more info.

Fair enough but it’s a good sign to be cautious. Same with all dealers. Even the manufacturer ones.
