Hey GuysandGirls

Can anyone help me with my INPA setup. Ive installed it multiple time on different devices but problem still arise. I get an ASC error when launcing a job or trying to connet to a module.
after starting application I get battery and ignition circles filled, select a chassis and try to connect (program says running in the left hand corner) but then stalls once I click on a module.
Ive been researching the issue and the closest Ive come to ananswer is that my SGBT file is either missing or corrupt. If someone can help i will appreciate it thanks.

Will travel to sort this mess out

Cheers peeps

Hi

What operating system are you running? INPA runs best on a 32-bit Windows 7 installation.

However, I managed to get mine working on 64-bit windows 10 but there are a couple of hoops you need to jump through. You can start by looking online for the "BimmerGeeks Standard Tools" package, did the trick for me. It also included a step by step guide to install on Windows 8 or 10. Took a bit of swearing and sweating but got it working.

Also, you may need to look at your cable you are using. A proper K + D Can cable (it has a switch to change between the two) is the best way to go. Some of the older models works on the D Can bus where as the newer models (E90 and E87 for example) requires the K Can interface to be able to access the footwell and chassis modules. If you only have the standard D Can cable you can change it to K Can by bridging out the no 7 and 8 pins on it, I added a small switch in my bridge for easy changing between the two. But getting the pre bridged cable is usually much more reliable.

For interest sake, what car are you trying to read? I am based in Pretoria and could help if you are in close vicinity.

Hey there

Thanks for the tip on 64bit. Ive tried it on old 32-bit and 64bit OS(though 64bit i took a bit of a chance) Ive got an e90 335 e34 323ci and 320d e46 and get the same ASC 005 syst error.

I will try your method above on 64bit OS and see where it leads me, if error is still present its probably my software that came with package.
Thanks again
Cheers
