Good day everyone. Iwould like to obtain the information on how to remove the cylinder head from my bm 320d e46. The timing marks on the camshaft or elsewhere,etc. I suspect either sticky or burnt valves because during the compression test the compression is somewhat low on the no. 3 cylinder then gradually climbs up higher. I had the turbo replaced recently due to blown seals and since the turbo replacement could not start the car due to the low compression on no. 3 cylinder. Any help please.

The swirl flaps have been removed on a previous occasion. This starting problem occurred right after the turbo replacement. I must also mention that the car had a service two days prior the turbo failure. The oil level is exactly at the same level as when it was serviced.

Good day. No I did not. You know how it goes with all the advice from everybody pertaining engin problems. What would you suggest I do first before I remove the cylinder head. I do not want to incur unneccessary expencess, so the most appropriate advice I will follow first. I must add that I am not too clued-up with diesel engines and with the new electronics technology.

First get run a diagnostics on the car. There is a very real chance that the ECU will tell you in so many words what is wrong. It could be a plug that was not inserted properly, or that was inadvertently pulled out while doing the turbo or a broken wire, but it is much cheaper to do a diagnostic than to pull off the head.
If you spray some quickstart in the intake manifold, does it start then?
