In need of serious advice. Please help

After the oil sump and top bearing caps were stripped, the reason for the damage could not be found, the engine now has to be fully stripped and the solution may be for the dealership to send the engine in for an engine recon., I wanted to ask you guys if you think it's ok for a bmw dealership to completely strip the engine, find the cause of fault, then reassemble the engine and send it for the recon, won't the guys in the workshop be careless when stripping the engine completely? Is there anything I should be worried about?
