Idling problem

Hi guys! my father's 2001 e46 320i automatic, is giving him sleepless nights with idling problem. It some times want to switches off when he tries to accelerate.He replaced spark plugs & some 2 sensors within the engen as it was recommended by mechanic but still no changes. Can you please help us with advises before we take it to the agent.
