Yep - tyres are going to be expensive. I also wanted to do this when I had my (ex) E46 330i, but when I discovered that the rear rim is 10J, I decided against it.

You could however get 4 narrow fronts and that should work (with some spacers for the rear), but it's difficult enough picking up a normal set of narrows/wides, so 4 narrows will be an even bigger challenge.

yeah on the fronts...

i read somewhere the dude put like 215 or 225 or something like that tyres on the front, hence the look you seeing

found this:
"215/35/19 front and 235/35/19 rear"


i cant believe its the same wheels that comes from an X5.
I spotted an X5 yesterday on my way home and the wheels just looks normal and crappy on there with the thick tyres but once on the e46 with a thinner tyre it looks the business:thumbs:

You guys are soooo lucky!

My X5 has 315/35/20 at the back and 275/40/20's up front!

I :argh: and :argh: some more everytime i have too do tyres!

Lost 2 rears in the past! Sucks!
