Hybrid turbo conversion

Hi guys

just would like to know if anyone has ever used turbo extreme in springs to do a hybrid turbo conversion on their n54 and if so how has the work and reliability been. thanks very much for your help.

Have to agree, Fastec you wont go wrong.
Not sure on his pricing, best would be to contact him. I do know it would all depend on what you want to do with the turbo like :

* Billet wheels
* Core
* Seals
* Housings(Ported/Non Ported)


He can do them and has done lots of them for all sorts of cars with all sorts of combinations.

its best to buy hybrid turbos from either vagas, hexon ,pure turbos or RB's from the states
or you can chat to the local guys regarding a single turbo conversions there are a couple of the guys on the forum

as far as i know RB uses Chinese copy cores and seals. i stand to be corrected tho

haha ok.. the RB turbo i saw had the Chinese core and seals, but that could have been just the one turbo

There are a few guys doing hybrid N54's locally. With very little success that I have seen. Depending on your power goals there are several options available but they will have to be imported. RB's are a good option if you looking at 500whp all the way up to the Vargas GC which are 750whp capable. The exchange rate makes importing anything difficult though.
