Hey Guys,

I guess its my time to call a huge favour from our CPT Fanatics,

I have a potential car purchase sitting in CPT, its a beautiful 2005 325CI MSPORT, however I'am unable to fly down to CPT to view the car,

http://www.autotrader.co.za/used-ca...ape-town-fpa-8ac196a041590c5e01417d0a092b4fe3

I am begging one of the CPT fanatics to kindly have a look at the car for me, test drive it, you name it.

I've already arranged with the seller of the car with regards to this,

If anyone is able to accomodate my request I'd really appreciate it,

Thanking you guys in advance

PM me, or email

Heres some additional information from Dawie

Service history.
All the services was done at BMW and service book fully stamped. The first ones being at Auto Atlantic BMW, some at Donford BMW, and the last one I had done at SMG BMW very recently. I also replaced the front and back brake pads with genuine BMW pads.

Cosmetics:
There are absolutely no dents or scratches on the body work. Except the front bumper have some kerb damage to the right hand front corner bottom. The interior is as clean and neat as you will get a car of this age. Not tears, scratches or scuff marks on the leather.

Mechanical:
The tappet cover gasket needs replacing, and this is a common problem on these models, since they are reaching ether age where they are starting to leak. I will replace this before delivery. It does have a valid roadworthy certificate. I will also run a diagnostic scan for you or your friend who will be having a look at the car. Other tests are also welcome.

Specification:
Al the motorsport fittings are from factory. The motorsport II suspension are indicated with blue stickers on the front suspension lower control arms. The car is also fitted with clear "smash & grab"
window film.

Hey LordPhoenix,

I live in CT and can help u out this weekend.
That area 'Sea Point' is not bad at all - the only thing I can think of is premature rust because it is so very close to the sea.
PM me for my cell nr and we can talk.

Cheers

Read that and thought I wouldn't get it if 3rd gear is unavailable!! It would be completely undrivable!!!

Then I re-read it.:sorry:

If those are 18" reps we can make a deal for a manual 6spd conversion...
Sweet looking car, good luck with the purchase.

Hey Guys.

So 3rdgear went to see the car yesterday, BIG UPS and my utmost appreciation for going. GIVE THAT MAN A BELLS!!

However the seller won't budge on his price. Got him down only to R147k but needed some advice if that price is right.

Feels a tad high to me judging by the other guys pricing on the GUM etc.

You are very welcome LordPhoenix. I genuinely enjoyed checking her out and going for a drive. The car really was in fantastic condition and drove solid. Re price - the seller's argument was a "collectible in mint condish" hence his firm price. Hope your deal goes well.

Best regards,

Sasha

Its all about supply and demand and the seller knows it. These facelift sportpack models rarely come up for sale. Its difficult to talk a seller down over the phone, you need to be there and point out the niggles to bring the price down. I paid full price (R135k) for my touring 3 years ago although it was still under motorplan and only had 87000km on the clock. It was exactly what i wanted with the right colour and ofcourse SP so i paid full price the bmw dealer was asking, she is worth every cent!
Get down to CT and do the deal yourself, show him his car aint worth the high asking price but dont insult him doing it. Good luck!
