How to keep your BMW in tip top shape?

So some of the direct family members took the car for a drive today & I heard a "beep" noise. It happened twice, but I could'nt identify it. Any idea where to start looking? I'm not sure whether it happens @ a certain speed, but I'll check again tomorrow morning.

My car beeps if the hand-brake isn't pushed all the way down. Perhaps?

Not sure hey, I did check after I heard it the first time, but it happened once more, could'nt have been the hour gong, since it happened within 3-4 min after the first "beep". The hand break is a repetitive beep aswell.

does the onboard computer have a speed limit alarm? the one you can set to a limit and it beeps when you go over that set limit

Geez, I really don't know. I'll have a look tomorrow whether it's speed related or what, I haven't driven it alot today as I was busy spring cleaning the lady

I know the E34 had that, but my E46 certainly don't. (And even if it had...I would disconnect it...imp

The beeping noise is the outside temp sensor, or so they tell me. It shows on the HUD that temps change from 40 degrees to -50 degrees & then I get the beeping noise. The dealership said they'll order it tomorrow morning & they'll fit when they get.
