How to clean 118i engine

Hi All

Any advice on how to clean the engine of a 118i? I despise a dirty engine.

Engine cleaner ? Water pressure gun ? Steam clean? Just avoid the electronics. Have you considered a carwash that does it ?

So after much research and reading everybody's opinions on this forum, I opted out for coolant and sprayed it all around. Apparently this method was used back in the days.. it seemed to work quite well! Then I just wiped the engine everywhere I could reach. Shining bright like a diamond!
